Mute emerges from an ongoing exploration of texture and surface, investigating what happens when the elements of transparency and reflection are eliminated.Through its soft finish, the surface becomes matte and light-absorbing, allowing depth and form to be defined through shadow and texture. By removing reflection, the work redirects attention to the material’s physical presence, inviting a more tactile and intimate way of seeing.
